There are historic activities that hand down, from one generation to another, the secret of their own success. Osteria del Vecchio Molo Laglio belongs to this category. Founded in 1978 by Giovanni and Marino Vaccani-restaurant owners and professional fishermen–today the tavern is run by Patrizia and Paolo Vaccani, who continue the culinary tradition and offer many family recipes, that respect the originality of the restaurant that has always prepared local fish dishes. The atmosphere, and the good food, make the difference: clients are plunged into the atmosphere full of unique, rare, simple and genuine emotions, but characteristic at the same time, because the main dish is rich with old and traditional flavour, that you can rarely find elsewhere. Cornmeal mush and Missoltino fish, Lavarelli fish with butter and sage, rice and soused perch, seasoned with Tremezzina oil. And for dessert, miascia, one of the poorest desserts of the Como cuisine, with old bread as its main ingredient.
