Mandello del Lario Italia
The Moto Guzzi Museum in Mandello del Lario is a place known internationally and every year attracts thousands of motorcyclists – guzzisti – from around the world. The museum is inside the historic factory of Moto Guzzi, founded in 1921. A true place of worship that brings together a historical, cultural and technical wealth. The museum is home to over 150 exhibition pieces including production bikes, sport bikes, experimental prototypes and engines, which along a timeline reflect the glorious history of a timeless Italian and World myth. Inside is displayed the first motorcycle built by Carlo Guzzi in 1919, the only one signed G.P. (Guzzi-Parodi), and alongside it the most celebrated examples in the world such as the extraordinary Eight Cylinders 500 of 1957, created by the genius of Giulio Cesare Carcano. More than 80 examples narrate not only the industrial development of the company, but also the social and economic situation of Italy, and the sporting performance of some riders who rode Motto Guzzi motorcycles.
